Venezuela’s National Assembly Calls Massive March to Miraflores Supporting the Peace
«Tomorrow we are going to Miraflores to defend the right to life, to defend the electoral results», said Jorge Rodríguez.
The president of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Jorge Rodríguez, called on the people on Monday to “tomorrow”, from different points in the country to Miraflores, to celebrate victory, preserve peace and face the wave of destabilization that the right wing is proposing.

“We call the people tomorrow to a great march towards Miraflores, all forces, in their cities, to defend peace. We are the majority and that is why we go to the streets to defend peace. You have a right to peace. Maybe the candidate you vote for is the one who’s spawning violence,” he said.
During an intervention on the afternoon of Monday, he recalled the horrible episodes of the years 2014 and 2018, confirming that for them, elections are an opportunity.
Rodríguez endorsed the words of President Nicolás Maduro and said that the plan of the right is a replica of the strategy of Juan Guaidó, to which he named Plan Guaidó 2.0.
On the other hand, he denounced that the proposal of the right is not electoral, but violent and homicidal, indicating at the same time that “they do not care about elections”, but use them “as a means to achieve its ends. That’s why they were singing fraud from before,” he said.
“Fascism does not resort to elections, but as an end in order to deal with its violent proposal,” he said.
Rodríguez stressed that “the CNE managed to transmit the results, but the hacking is continuing to prevent 110 percent of the minutes from being transmitted” before this electoral body.
He added that “thanks to the Maduro government’s deactivation of the big gangs, they have not been able to unleash the furies”.
“They deactivated the ones they had hired. As Capriles did in 2013 and 2017”, he recalled, noting that “they could not because the strength of the people and the plan Republic prevented it”.
He also stressed that “the aggressions our people have received have been hard and painful, but they were wrong again to defend peace… the right to economic continuity”.
Rodríguez also said that the election result of the previous day was forceful and “a definitive burial of fascism that has been enthroned in a sector of Venezuelan politics”.
“This is the corollary of the consequences of years of struggle by the people of Venezuela against sanctions, against the blockade, against violence, calls to death, burning alive people, for their skin color,” he said.
He also claimed that the election was peaceful because the government and people had avoided all attempts at violence before the elections.
“We managed to stop all attempts at terrorist attacks on the electrical system. Because we managed to save our candidate’s life. We had to sit down every day and make plans to prevent our candidate from being attacked in an atrocious way,” he said.
Rodríguez also denounced the demands of the opposition María Corina Machado to call for an international intervention, Link with the Southern Command and the Colombian ambassador to the Organization of American States (OAS) for requesting the implementation of the Inter-American Treaty on Reciprocal Assistance (TIAR) against Venezuela.
