Venezuelan Supreme Court Ratifies Schedule of Parties and Former Candidates Who Will Attend Hearings
The TSJ “confirms that failure to appear will have the consequences provided for in the current legal system”.
The president of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) of Venezuela, Caryslia Beatriz Rodríguez Rodríguez, along with judges from the Electoral Chamber of the entity, ratified on Tuesday the schedule of citations to representatives of political parties and candidates, to appear before the judicial institution, with a view to handing over evidence of their participation in the elections of 28 July.

“It is hereby recorded that all representatives of the parties, as well as citizens who participated as candidates are duly and formally summoned, who must comply with the court order and go to this court according to the schedule communicated on that same date, which is ratified”, read the judge.
For Wednesday, August 7, the political formations Un Nuevo Tiempo, Mesa de la Unidad Democrática and Movimiento por Venezuela are cited in the hours of 09H00 (local time); two hours later Edmundo González Urrutia must appear; while at 13H00 are called the parties First Venezuela, Movement First Justice, Union Mission Venezuela and Venezuela Unity.
On the same day, at 3:00 pm, former candidate José Brito must attend; an hour later, the TSJ will receive representatives of the parties Acción Democrática, Copei, Movimiento Republicano, Bandera Roja, Derecha Democrática Popular and Unión Nacional Electoral, and for 18H00 was quoted Luis Eduardo Martinez.
Likewise, for Thursday 8 August, the TSJ convened the parties Popular Will and Political Alliance Assembly Renewal and Hope at 08:00; at 09:00 must appear the former candidate Daniel Ceballos; One hour later the Hope for Change match and at 10:30 Javier Bertucci.
At 11:30 on Thursday, the TSJ will receive Solutions for Venezuela; half an hour later to former candidate Claudio Fermín; at 14:00 are convened the political formations Alianza del Lápiz, Minunidad, Cambiemos, Avanzada Progresista, Fuerza Vecinal and MEV; Meanwhile, at 5PM Antonio Ecarri must attend
On the day of Friday, August 9, at 08H00 will be received the party Movement Centered by the People; half an hour after the former candidate Enrique Márquez; at 09H00 the National Democratic Confederation and at 09H30 Benjamin Rausseo.
At 11:00 am, the representatives of the political parties United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Tupamaro, Patria para Todos, Somos Venezuela, Organización Renovadora Auténtica por la Democracia Social, Partido Verde, Enamórate Venezuela, Communist Party of Venezuela, Popular Unity of Venezuela and Alliance for Change.
Meanwhile, at 12:00 PM the citizen and current president of the country Nicolás Maduro Moros was summoned.
The TSJ “confirms that the failure to appear will have the consequences foreseen in the current legal system”, while “considers it opportune to reiterate the commitment and the willingness of the Venezuelan people to impart justice”.
On 2 August, the TSJ Electoral Chamber requested the National Electoral Council (CNE) to issue the final tally and counting records for the 28 July elections, as a part of the investigation to certify the official result issued in the early hours of July 29 and which was ratified days later.
On the eve, CNE president Elvis Amoroso, along with the directors of the entity, came to the headquarters of the TSJ to deliver the requested documents.
