Venezuelan Armed Forces Unconditionally Support President Maduro
‘The civil-military-police union has become cement and rock to defend our country,’ Gen. Padrino-Lopez stated.
On Tuesday, Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino-Lopez announced that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) ratifies its unconditional support for President Nicolas Maduro, whom the National Electoral Council (CNE) officially proclaimed as the winner of the 2024 presidential elections.

Through the reading of an institutional statement, the Bolivarian general expressed that the FANB rejects and will strongly reject any coup attempt called for by the Venezuelan far right and its transnational allies.
Gen. Padrino-Lopez also ratified that the Bolivarian armed forces will ensure respect for the popular will expressed at the polls and guarantee peace and tranquility in this South American country.
“We reaffirm the most absolute loyalty to citizen Nicolas Maduro, constitutionally elected president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, who has been legitimately reelected by the people and proclaimed by the electoral power for 2025-2031 term. In this country there will be peace, peace and peace,” he said.
Previously, the Attorney General’s Office launched a criminal investigation against former presidential candidate Edmundo Gonzalez, who declared himself president-elect of Venezuela, and Maria Corina Machado, the leader of the far-right organization Vente Venezuela.
These U.S.-backed politicians issued public statements calling on the FANB to join in a regime change in Venezuela, tacitly calling for a coup against President Maduro.
“The civil-military-police union has become cement and rock to defend our country,” said Padrino-Lopez to reaffirm the FANB’s rejection of any attempt at political destabilization in Venezuela.
