The diplomat described as arrogant and rude a message sent by the United Kingdom to the Venezuelan diplomatic mission in London. Below is the text issued by the Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Ministry.

“The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its absolute rejection of the rude and arrogant messages transmitted by the declining government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to our diplomatic mission in London.

These messages constitute a new and vulgar exercise of neocolonial interference and pretension, daring to question the internal processes of a sovereign country and taking sides with a criminal and extremist political class that is servile to imperial interests.

«Our enemies are not the small parties of the far-right in Venezuela […] They’re allies and tools of imperialism […] Many of them made their fortunes out of expropriating Venezuela’s oil wealth.»

The support of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for the Venezuelan far-right is a warning about the pretensions of these groups, which have compromised the country by aligning with foreign powers, handing over assets such as the gold retained in the Bank of England, and promoting illicit, illegal sanctions and actions against their own people.

Under no circumstances will Venezuela allow the dispossession of the Guayana Esequiba, an action attempted by that decadent empire for more than 150 years.

The will of the Venezuelan people, expressed unanimously in the Constitutional Referendum of December 3, 2023, is a mandate that ratifies the nation’s independence and sovereignty. No infamous action will prevail against this Bolivarian inspiration, which ensures the protection of the legitimate interests that it possesses.

Finally, the United Kingdom is urged to desist from its insolent position and respect the rights won by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela through its independence process, consecrated more than 200 years ago, when European imperialism was expelled from these lands.”
