UNRWA Denounces the Death of At Least 200 of its Workers in Gaza
250,000 people were displaced from the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Yunis for the sixth or seventh time, and reiterated that there is no safe place in Gaza.
On Monday, the general commissioner of the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) denounced the murder of at least 200 humanitarian workers in Gaza, since the resurgence of Israeli aggression on October 7.

“Fifty percent of the agency’s institutions were destroyed in Gaza, and more than 500 people died while taking refuge in them,” Lazzarini said at a press conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati in Cairo.
He clarified that Gaza faces the risk of an entire generation being deprived of education after most schools were destroyed.
Lazzarini noted that some 250,000 people were displaced from the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Yunis for the sixth or seventh time, and reiterated that there is no safe place in Gaza.
In Khan Yunis specifically, despite the Agency’s efforts, health centres in the territory are in great danger of never reopening, making health in Gaza more difficult.
Our institutions in Gaza have been targeted by Israeli military operations since the beginning of the war, he said.
UNRWA also denounced the danger of famine, due to the blockade of supplies imposed by the Zionist aggressor.
