Through his social network Truth, the former U.S. president labeled the stock market decline as “Kamala’s crash” and claimed that “the markets will never accept” Harris because she is “a radical left-wing lunatic.”
“Voters have a choice: Trump’s prosperity or Kamala’s crash and the great depression of 2024, not to mention the likelihood of World War III if these people remain in office,” he said.
On Monday, Wall Street plummeted with drops of over 1,000 points in two of its main indicators, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the Nasdaq. Analysts attribute this to fears of a recession in the United States, which seem to have spread to other international markets.
Volatility is reaching levels not seen since the stock market crashes of March 2020 and is believed to be related to fears that the Federal Reserve (Fed) might lower interest rates too late.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party concludes its voting on Monday to officially nominate Kamala Harris as its candidate for the November 5 election, where she will face Trump.
Harris will be at the White House today with President Joe Biden and the National Security team monitoring a possible attack by Iran on Israel in retaliation for the killings of two leaders of Hezbollah and Hamas.
