Syria’s President Receives Iran’s Chancellor

Both politicians discussed the state of bilateral relations, as well as the advance of Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip.

The Syrian president, Bashar Al-Assad, received on Tuesday the acting Foreign Minister of Iran, Ali Bagheri Kani, who is making an official visit to that country.

During the meeting, both politicians discussed the state of bilateral relations, as well as the advance of Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip and other regional issues of interest to both nations.

The Syrian president assessed that, faced with the confrontation with the adversaries, resistance is a basic principle and a strategic option.

He also stressed that “the Zionist entity becomes bloodier every time its defeat is approaching before the firmness of the Palestinian resistance”.

For his part, the Iranian official said that the ties between Iran and Syria will be preserved deep and indispensable because they are based on consistent values and bilateral interests.

He also highlighted Tehran’s efforts to expand bilateral relations to help the nations of the region.

Faisal Al-Mekdad, stressed Syria’s will to strengthen relations between the two nations to achieve common goals and protect the rights and interests of the peoples of the Middle East.

Likewise, he insisted on continuing the legacy of the deceased Ebrahim Raisi and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in strengthening strategic ties between the two nations.
