President Nicolás Maduro Commemorates Simón Bolívar 200 Years After the Victory in the Battle of Junín

He also stressed that the greatest guarantee of peace is organized people.

President Nicolás Maduro reminded Simón Bolívar on Tuesday and highlighted the Battle of Junín in 1824. “Bolivar overcame all the campaigns that defamed him (today they would be fake news). Bolívar was a constitutionalist, he went from town to town to unite soldiers and listen to people. They knew where the enemy was and prepared the strategy that gave victory”, stressed the president.

During the Great March of Grandmothers and Grandfathers of the Fatherland, the head of state pointed out that Bolivar had formed an army of 7,900 men with some women and was known as the silent battle.

“Our Liberator Army defeated the Spanish Army. It was the last battle in which father and son were: Bolívar and Sucre” he noted, while referring to that “it was the most beautiful Army of all America, and it was a popular and revolutionary Army”.

Similarly, he stressed that the greatest guarantee of peace is the organized people, empowered by remembering historical landmarks and the Venezuelan and Latin American historical memory.

“The streets are of the people. Not of the fascists or terrorists,” the president acknowledged, insisting that “we have Venezuela in peace, no one can end with the peace of Venezuela loved”. It also stated that peace was guaranteed within 48 hours.

The president indicated that Venezuela is consolidating day by day “to continue working for a blessed horizon of prosperity,” Nicolas Maduro said that as more is known about the history of our founding fathers, it is moving more and more. 

When he declared that “we went there together, Chileans, Colombians, Nicaraguans, Cubans, Peruvians, Venezuelans,” Maduro acknowledged that we are the liberators of America. “This brave people, the Venezuelan, who has fought a thousand battles. Let’s light a candle for Bolivar. Father Libertador, Father Bolivar,” he insisted.

“This is a historic battle between the old colonialisms. Those who want to dominate us through deception lie, force, we the liberators, the pushed forward. Our people have a great historical responsibility. We have a historical responsibility for the future of our sons, our daughters,” he said.

“Our battle is with the Constitution,” the president said. Similarly, he insisted that WhatsApp is a center of espionage and is being used in this war against Venezuela by the power of the USA. that uses technology for psychological warfare against the people”.

This declaration, said Maduro, took place yesterday when the youth marched from the Carabobo Park to the Prosecutor’s Office to make a complaint because all are threatened by WhatsApp “that is a company belonging to technological imperialism and have access to all the information of its users”.

Meanwhile, he said that “they intend to reinstall fascism” by remembering the disappeared and tortured in Venezuela and the massacres in the 70s.

Currently, the president remarked that “the coup d’état that has been intended against Venezuela is a coup from social networks to divide and fill with hatred, which has as its vanguard criminal gangs and paid”.

We must “unite Venezuela spiritually, fraternally”, he said, and meanwhile stressed “to those who love the legacy of Commander Chavez, I say to you: let’s continue, here no one gives up!”.
