Israeli Bombings Kill Over 40 Palestinians in Nuseirat Refugee Camp
Most of the victims were Palestinians who were in a UNRWA school, which housed over 500 displaced people.
On Thursday, Israeli occupation forces bombed the Nuseirat refugee camp, where they murdered at least 40 Palestinians. Most of the victims of Zionist violence were people who were in a United Nations Refugee Agency (UNRWA) school, which housed over 6.000 displaced people.

“The occupation army killed 40 displaced people in the Nuseirat massacre, including 14 children and 9 women, and injured another 74 people, including 23 children and 18 women,” the Gaza-based Health Ministry reported.
Similar to past occasions, the Israeli occupation army justified the attack by claiming that the school provided a hiding place for members of the Palestinian resistance movement (HAMAS).
Palestinian authorities claimed that Israeli forces launched at least three missiles at the school at 2:00 in the morning while people were sleeping. They also recalled that this was the 149th attack against displaced people.
“The fact that they are hiding in UNRWA schools will not deter us from operating against Hamas and Islamic Jihad… They will not have a safe haven to hide in,” said a spokesman for the Zionist Army.
“Another horrific day in Gaza. Another UNRWA school turned shelter attacked. This time in Nuseirat, in the Middle Areas, hit overnight by the Israeli Forces without prior warning to the displaced… Attacking, targeting, or using UN buildings for military purposes are a blatant disregard of international humanitarian law. UN staff, premises, and operations must be protected at all times,” UNRWA Commissioner Philippe Lazzarini stated.
“Since the war in Gaza began, over 180 UNRWA buildings were hit and more than 450 displaced people were killed as a result. UNRWA shares the coordinates of all its facilities (including this school) with the Israeli Army and other parties to the conflict. Targeting UN premises or using them for military purposes cannot become the new norm. This must stop and all those responsible must be held accountable,” he added.
In January, Israel accused a dozen UNRWA workers of participating in the October 7, 2023 attacks. Later, the Zionist state asserted that more than 200 UNRWA employees have ties to Islamists.
The Israeli Parliament is even pending the processing of a law to declare UNRWA, a multilateral humanitarian organization that has operated in the Palestinian territories since 1948, as a terrorist organization.
This caused almost twenty donor countries to cut their funding to UNRWA, but many resumed their support for the UN agency in the absence of conclusive evidence from Israel to prove such accusations.
The latest Israeli attack caused dozens of wounded to reach Deir al Balah’s Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, which is already on the verge of collapse due to excess patients and the breakage of one of its generators. This is the only operational hospital in the central Gaza Strip, where one million displaced people are currently taking refuge.
In the last 24 hours, the Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital has received 140 deaths and 380 injuries caused by an Israeli operation in the Bureij refugee camp and in Deir al Balah.
On Thursday, the Wafa news agency reported on Israeli bombings against the Bureij and Maghazi refugee camps in the central Gaza Strip. The Zionist occupation army is also attacking Khan Younis, Rafah, and southern neighborhoods of Gaza City.
Since the offensive against Gaza began in October 2023, Israeli occupation forces have killed over 36,650 Palestinians and injured 83,300 people. The Gaza-based Health Ministry estimates that there are also at least 10,000 additional bodies beneath the rubble left by the Zionist bombings.
