The attack, which took place at around 21:00 local time, comes after an American aggression on Jurf al-Sakhar, which left several dead and wounded of the Popular Mobilization Forces.

According to the US Department of Defense, several US soldiers were wounded during the attack allegedly perpetrated by Iranian-backed militias.

The actions come at a time when tensions in the Middle East are rising following Israel’s killings in recent days.
