Prior to his trip to Moscow, Modi said “I look forward to reviewing all aspects of bilateral cooperation with my friend, President Vladimir Putin, and sharing perspectives on various regional and global issues. We seek to play a supporting role for a peaceful and stable region”.
On the other hand, the presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, assured that the two leaders will hold talks in the Grand Kremlin Palace.
Peskov announced that on Tuesday both parties will meet at an official breakfast and then hold expanded negotiations, adding that the program of the meetings does not include a press conference.
Meanwhile, India’s foreign secretary, Vinay Kwatra, reported last week that the focus of the talks will be defense, trade, energy and Ukraine.
At the end of his stay in the Eurasian country, Modi will travel to Vienna to meet the President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen and the Chancellor of Austria, Karl Nehammer.
