Extreme Right Simulates Acts to Accuse the Venezuelan State of Violating the HR: Public Ministry
It shows progress in the investigations into the violent actions, after which 1,062 people involved have been arrested.
The Attorney General of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, presented this Wednesday progress of the investigations on terrorist attacks perpetrated by violent demonstrators in different places of the country, and he blamed the Venezuelan extreme right for inciting them and for using the simulation of punishable acts to try to accuse the Venezuelan state of violating human rights.

He pointed out that there are 1,062 detainees for involvement in these serious crimes. He said that those who were not present would be released, but those who were found to be present would be deprived of their liberty. He detailed those 77 officials were injured and one was killed in the state of Aragua.

The Attorney General drew attention to the fact that in this wave of violence, police stations, local government, food distribution centres for the people and even educational institutions.
He also referred to the attempt by these «comanditos» to associate themselves with paramilitary groups, as happened in Guárico with a structured group of organized crime, He attacked with grenades and rifles an educational unit, which was protected by members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
He added that in Miranda, the citizen José Meléndez was arrested, who distributed rubber and other means to violent groups to facilitate obstructing roads.
He added that two individuals were arrested in La Guaira (Jared Romero and Jeferson Padrón), which through videos spread by social networks presented themselves as leaders of a criminal group and threatened the population with violent acts and destabilization.
He reported that in the state of Lara, José Sánchez, Dainer Véliz, Luis Sabira, Yarjanel López and three teenagers were arrested on 29 July as part of a criminal group, The United States of America has been violently attacked against the facilities of the Transbarca terminal. They caused serious damage and stole a crane which was then burned.
He also explained that the criminal Israel Crespo was arrested in Lara along with a teenager, who participated in the attack on the seat of the governing party in Carora. They looted a community radio, destroyed the furniture and then set fire to the headquarters. They carried out the attack with people inside and threw a person from the top floor of the building, he said.
He asked the Office of the Rapporteur of DD.HH. The United Nations Organization will again present these violent people as «political prisoners». I have no doubt that in the future they will want to defend them after using them in the dirty war against Venezuela, he said.
In response to a question from teleSUR, the Attorney General said that he has open investigative files against several of the perpetrators of these violent acts. We do not rule out new arrests that have to do with these masterminds, he said.
