Emperor of Japan Naruhito and His Wife Masako Arrive in London for a State Visit

Emperor Naruhito of Japan and his wife, Empress Masako, arrived this Saturday in the United Kingdom before starting on Tuesday a state visit in which they will be received by Kings Carlos III and Camila.

During Sunday and Monday, the 64-year-old Emperor and his wife, 60, will conduct private activities, including a visit to the Japan House in the west of the capital and the Thames Barrier River dam in the east.

In the official visit program it is expected that the Emperor and Charles III will inspect the Honour Guard, and subsequently both, together with the Empress, the Queen and the Prince of Wales, will participate in a carriage procession along Mall Avenue to Buckingham Palace, where they will be received by a second Honor Guard.

For 75-year-old King Charles III, this state visit will be the third he has received in the United Kingdom since his accession to the throne in 2022.
