The movement insisted on a rise in killings and violence against Haitians that have taken place at the hands of “military, police and migrant personnel, as well as radicalized civilians, in a xenophobic and racist agitation by government spokesmen”.

The collective also denounced the death of three migrants at the hands of military personnel between March and June, and two murders in July of two Haitian peasants by a landowner.

On 3 July, a 23-year-old Haitian woman was killed when she was denied medical care by migration agents and was taken back to her country after being arbitrarily detained. In this regard, the organization stated that “instead of being allowed to reach his destination, and even more so given his state of health, he was detained and denied medical care until he died the next day”.

The text reads,
The Haina detention center has become a PRM concentration camp for Haitian immigrants. It is important to guarantee the human rights and dignity of all people, regardless of their origin.

According to the allegations of the Haitian non-governmental organization (NGO) Group for Support of Returnees and Refugees (GARR)The migrants tried to dispose of the body on the border with Haiti, which shows a violation of protocols and human practices.

The NGO stated that this case “crudely portrays the racist violence of the Dominican government, whose agents have carried out thousands of arbitrary detentions for extortion purposes, both regular and irregular migrants”.

The continuing violation by illegal raids in various parts of the country by military, police officers and members of the General Directorate for Migration (DGM) was similarly denounced by Haitians RD.

These raids, the group confirmed, «without a court order or the presence of prosecutors usually take place in the late hours of the night».

In response to a statement sent by the Haitian Government on 9 July deploring the murder of Haitian citizens, the Government then rejected “categorically the accusations of the Haitian Government that its citizens are victims of inhuman treatment on Dominican territory”.
