Active Participation in Syrian Parliamentary Elections Recorded
The electoral process is conducted under judicial supervision from the nomination of candidates to the announcement of results.
Syrian authorities recorded on Monday an active participation of residents in the 14 provinces in the votes of the fourth legislature of the People’s Assembly, which demonstrates the great popular support for the State in the region.

There were also 8,151 polling stations in all provinces and large residential and labour congregations were valued. Elections are held on a constitutional date without change.
The election day is conducted under judicial supervision, from the nomination of candidates until the announcement of the results, with a total of 1,516 candidates contending to occupy the 250 seats in the People’s Assembly.
The Syrian Ministry of the Interior ensured the existence of all the provisions for the electoral process such as counting records and office supplies, as well as the voting day starts at 07h00 (local time) and ends at 19h00 on the same day.
The Electoral Law empowered the Supreme Judicial Committee for Elections to delay the period of the elections by a maximum of five hours in all or in some colleges.
The president of the Provincial Judicial Committee, Judge Fadel Noah, confirmed that the electoral process is proceeding without difficulty and complying with the legal norms to guarantee the conduct of the electoral exercise.
The governor of Hasakeh, Louay Sayouh, also confirmed to Al Mayadeen a high attendance in the elections of the residents of the governorate.
